Have you ever wanted to know how spammy your website looks to others? I came across the Spam-O-Meter while surfing the net and it does exactly that!
The Spam-O-Meter is based on the following factors:
- Does the page exist?
- How’s that HTTP response code?
- Does the page have any PageRank?
- Is the page indexed?
- Is the site indexed?
- How many links on this page?
- Is the page called “links.htm” or “links.php”?
- Is the page dynamic looking?
- META Tags - nofollow, noindex?
- Coming Soon: Page blocked via robots.txt?
- Are the links on this page quality or spammy?
- Coming Soon: How many clicks from the homepage?
- Rounding
The rating is on a scale of 0 to 10 with 10 being the best and 0 being the spammiest website ever!
Unfortunately Modern SEO News is only a rank 3/10 which is alright, but not so great! You must be a real whitehat with a good PR to get that 10/10!
I also like that domain name they use “RagePank” instead of “PageRank“, it’s going to be stuck in my head for a while now!
