A lot of webmasters have good websites, but aren’t getting enough traffic. Some websites think that getting a good Search Engine ranking is the only thing that matters and afterwards, you’re set for life! Well it’s not. Well this was a topic which was being discussed in the V7N Forums between the members. This is our first post in our Webmasters Section!

In this thread, a user posted:

Ok, so my site, www.wholesalechecklist.com is still moving along very slowly. Its been almost two years, and all I get is two sales per month average. What do I need to do to get my sales up and my site more popular?

There were numerous helpful replies to this question. First, let’s analyze this problem. The owner of the website claims that his website has only been alive for only 2 years, but even then the owner is only making a few sales a month. Now to some starting companies, they would regard 2 sales a month to be a miracle! However, this webmaster would like to increase the number of sales.

So we have identified the problem, which was simple: Increase the amount of Sales

Now here are the two obvious reasons which anybody would suggest (and a V7N Moderator, G10, suggested this as well):

1. The website is not getting enough visitors, which can easily be solved using the PPC Campaigns that we have been talking about in previous posts.
2. The website is getting a decent amount of visitors but nobody is willing to buy due to the fact that the product is not good or the visitors are not interested in the product.

The webmaster has admitted that he is not getting enough traffic, which is shown in the image below (click on thumbnail to enlarge):

He gets around 100-200 hits a month and 10-25 visits a month. This is obviously poor traffic for a website. Therefore, since we have figured out the problem, we can now find solutions to help solve this problem.

Here are different methods to recieve traffic:

• Search Engine Traffic
• BackLinks
• Pay-Per-Click Campaigns (PPC)
• Paid Advertisements
• Activity in Forums to recieve a respectable positiion in the internet community

All these are perfect suggestions and are simple enough for anyone to follow. We also suggest that you use word of mouth just in case your word hits one of those “Internet Geeks” who might tell all of his friends!
