MyBlogLog has been catching the attention of bloggers throughout the blogosphere at an alarming rate. More and more bloggers have added the famous MyBlogLog widget to their sidebar to display the latest visitors to their blog. There have been a lot of rumors flying around that MyBlogLog might be acquired by Yahoo! and it turns out to be true!
It was officially announced today that MyBlogLog has joined with Yahoo! for a nice $10 million, and the funny part is how Shoemoney had predicted this a few days ago. He talked about it when calling into the SEO Rockstars show today. It seemed that his friends over at MyBlogLog kind of gave him a tip-off that something big was about to happen soon! I didn’t think it would ever happen, but I guess Yahoo! really wants to get in touch with their blogging community.
They are well known for their widgets, but their communities are really great as well. It provides bloggers to earn new readers to their blogs as well as connect with their readers through MyBlogLog. It’ll only be days before people start spamming MyBlogLog like MySpace and adding a ton of contacts!

‘matter of time’ nope the spam is allready going strong.
MyBlogLog has an interesting dynamic between constraints and freedom, i.e. there is only so much you can hack about the actual MBL screens and views - vs. on your own sites you can do what you like.
My bet is this dynamic will help MBL (hopefully) facilitate organic and user maintained ways of dealing with the spam issues.
I wonder if Yahoo will want to introduce advertizing to menetize MBL or leave that on the Yahhoo interface.
Will they do a lot of modification to MBL?
So thats all what got you visits from MyBlogLog?
Lol! Just kidding, good luck with your blog!
Yeah a ton of spammers have already hit MyBlogLog, like ‘Titus’ and such.
I have removed all the contacts that I don’t know and have only added those that I have talked with or have heard on the Net Income show!
