MSN Live in China

We recently announced that Microsoft has integrated their MSN Live Search as their new Search Engine. A lot of us already know that Google is experiencing a couple of problems with China’s political firewall. MSN is taking their new Live Search the whole nine yards by offering MSN Live in China as well.

People’s Daily announced that that an agreement between Microsoft and China was made yesterday on September 19th, 2006.

This definitely seems like a power move on behalf of Microsoft. Up until now they have been considered as one of the lowly search engines which nobody uses. But if this works out, they will definitely get a lot of traffic and might be able to overthrow Yahoo! one day. We’ll have to wait a while before they overthrow Google though!
