YouTube Revenue Sharing Model

A ton of forums have started sharing revenue with their users via Google AdSense, started by DigitalPoint Webmaster Forums. Well now YouTube is headed down the same path by offering to share revenue with the people who upload the content which makes YouTube famous!

This was announced late last month by the co-founder of YouTube. I think it will be a great way for YouTube to gain a bigger audience to upload videos to their directory. However, I think there might be a good amount of problems with payment options, since most people who work online would prefer PayPal payments instead of waiting a month for a check to come in the mail.

I also wonder if YouTube will start displaying advertisements like AdBrite InVideo with advertisements embedded into the video. Another option could be displaying Google AdSense advertisements on the video page and they offer a cut of the profits.
