A gMail user noticed that when you receive audio files as an attachment in gMail, Google offers a simple way to simply play the MP3 Attachment on the spot! In fact, it is Google Video Player which is playing the audio file, but that’s not all!
When you dig a bit into the HTML Code, you will notice that the audio files are played in the following format:
http://mail.google.com/mail/html/audio.swf?audioUrl=URLLocationof_File
Where “URL Location of File” is the URL Location of the audio file. If you visit Google Blogoscoped, you will see that they have a nifty part which allows you to input the MP3 Location and the Google MP3 Player above will change and start playing it!
However, you don’t see the Google MP3 Player Layout unless you’re using FireFox, if you use Internet Explorer, it will launch Windows Media Player instead to play it.
