Google is on the Alert

There are a ton of blogs out there on the internet. It’s a real pain to have to actually visit the blog to see the latest blog posts. Most people simply use the FireFox feature which lets you subscribe to the RSS or ATOM Feeds and lets you preview the posts and then you can click on it and see the post. If you are a blogger and use Google in your daily life, then Google Alerts is for you!

Google Alerts allows you to enter a term and search on any of the following types of content:

  1. Blog PostsĀ
  2. Comprehensive Results
  3. Groups
  4. News Results
  5. Web Results

Google will search through the selected result for the entered term and alert you by sending you an HTML E-Mail (or text E-Mails, chosen by you). You can choose when to receive the E-Mails on the following times:

  • Daily
  • Immediately
  • Weekly

Seems like a decent new service to be integrated with your Google Account. Google Alerts is definitely an easy way to stay updated on the latest news containing a search term you’re interested!
