There have been a ton of speculations on Google registered domain names (like the archive search) and what they might be used for. Here’s another one which is meant for web hosting most likely - GoogleHostedServices.com
Gary Price was the first to notice this and bring it into the blogosphere. Here are the two possible options which the domain name would most likely be used for:
- Web Hosting (obviously)
- Google Applications
I personally would go for the web hosting idea, not because of just the domain name, but because Google is the only Search Engine which isn’t offering web hosting. Yahoo! is one of the biggest small business web hosting services known to the common user. Microsoft (believe it or not) also has a hosting service as well.
It would be really cool to see a Google Hosting service rollout too! They would definitely get a ton of U.S. customers.
