Google Base seems to be improving it’s services and is now offering click tracking which will display the clicks, impressions and page views for your submissions. This is a nifty new feature which tells you which submissions to Google Base are working and which aren’t working.
Screenshot of the Reports
Each time an item in Google Base or Froogle, Google will record the statistics of each of the pages:
- Impression - Each time a listing comes up in the search
- Clicks - Each time a you get a click to your page
- Page View - Each time someone clicks on the URL of a listing (it’s different because this can be from SERP’s, URL on E-Mails and forums and so on..)
They will only update the impressions once a day, but they will update the hosted page views numerous times a day. If you would like more information, view this page.
These statistics were recorded from June 7, 2006, so if you created a listing before that, your item won’t display stats before June 7.
Here is the tip from Google Base to help you out:
If your offer has many impressions, but few clicks, spruce up its title and add detailed attributes, images, etc. to make it more appealing and easily searchable by users.
