gMail Drive - Use gMail to Drag and Drop 2 GB of Storage

Numerous people have the famous new gMail Account, which is by invitation only. If you would like to recieve a gMail Invite, post a comment asking us to send one to your E-Mail Address and we would gladly do so! Anyway, there is a new program which will create a shell extension on your drive and you can easily drag and drop programs right into the gMail Shell Extension. This program will then send the program as an attachment to your gMail Account.

We have included a step-by-step tutorial on how you can use the gMail Drive Shell Extension! It is pretty self-explanatory, but we decided to do it anyway!

After you have downloaded the gMail Drive Shell Extension, you will need to extract the files:

Afterwards you need to run setup:

Next you can open the gMail Drive Extension by going to My Computer -> gMail Drive:

You will be asked for your gMail username and password and you will also be asked if you want them to remember your password, which should be checked for convenient use:

Afterwards, you simply drag and drop programs into your gMail Shell Extension and you will quickly recieve it as an attachment in your gMail Account:

In addition to the above, you can create a label in your gMail Account to store the files which you drag and drop in your account. Here’s how! First you need to create a label by clicking on create a new label on the left. You can then give it a name:

Then you need to create a filter, since all the files which you send to your account will have the extension “GMAILFS”, so create a new filter which sends ALL E-Mails with”GMAILFS” in the subject to your gMail Drive Label:
