Yahoo! Slurp Transition Accomplished

YahooYahoo! launched a new Search Engine Crawler last week (July 28th, 2006), Yahoo! Slurp, which is believed to be more efficient at crawling websites and indexing them.

Yahoo! states that they will crawl websites while only requesting 25% less than before, saving website owners a lot of bandwidth.

Most webmasters may have noticed a lot of inflatuations in the Yahoo! SERP’s (Search Engine Results Page) over the week. They are currently trying to transition to Yahoo! Slurp, which might take a little bit more time. However, the transition has gone pretty smoothly and they have claimed that they have transitioned correctly.
