Ok, so we looked at how you can analyse your competition yesterday and we saw how you can find out who’s linking to any website. Well, this means you can do great things.
For instance:
Going back to our last SEO topic, we were trying to SEO for the term Small Business Solutions. So, we’re going to carry on that theme today. If we Google for that keyword, we can see that the top three links are Microsoft Small Business Center, D&B Small Business Solutions, and NYC Department of Small Business Services. So these are the top three in our competitors. So how do we have a chance of beating them?
Simple. Fire up SEO Elite. Then put these three into it, and have a look at who’s linking to them. Now we can see how they’re ranking so well. They have good quality, naturally formed inbound links.
So what do we do? We E-Mail the people linking to them, and ask for a link to us! It’s as simple as that. But it is very difficult to persuade them. Professional websites won’t even consider link exchanges since they won’t need them. It’s even easier if you’ve got a search term that isn’t used a lot. So now we’ve got these emails going out. But what else can we do to speed up the process?
Well, start writing articles, and make sure that you include links to your site and home page. Then, put them up for free use. That way, anyone who takes them is going to be linking to you. All of a sudden, you’re getting a whole load of good quality inbound links!
Come back tomorrow, when I’m going to talking about one of the SINGLE most powerful method of using links to send you through the roof, in the rankings.
