3/29/06 Pyramid Linking Experiment

Linking ExperimentWell we have seen some unfortunate and odd results in our Pyramid Linking Experiment. We have included statistics for our the number of backlinks for our Pyramid Linking Experiment Test Website which are included in the report.

Our Pyramid Linking Experiment Test Website has the following statistics 6 days after we have started the Pyramid Linking Experiment:

MSN - 13 Links

Yahoo!/FAST/AltaVista - 155 Links

Total - 168 Links

There was a huge drop in the backlinks from MSN for some reason. However, we noticed a small increase in the backlinks from Yahoo!, but it was not that big of an increase.

We don’t understand the sudden drop in links from the MSN Search Engine. This could be due to the fact that they are changing datacenters and are going through an “MSN Dance” instead of a “Google Dance”! Otherwise they might have noticed a huge increase in the number of backlinks and decided to remove them and might even ban our website!!

The next update to the Pyramid Linking Experiment will be 3 days from today, 4/1/06
