WordPress executes Ping Command when post is made

We have finally organized our pinging list (Redscowl Bluesingsky SEO Tactic C: Blog Pinging) and we started noticing that when we create a post or such, it takes an extremely long minute for the webpage to confirm it.

The post will come on the website at that time, but WordPress will be pinging each one of the URL’s in your list. So the more URL’s you have to ping, the longer you will need to keep the webpage open. Not a big deal, just seemed like a cool fact!
