Search Engine Optimization Articles Link Building

There are many ways to do a link campaign and these links are very important in Google Search Engine Results Pages (SERP’s). First of all, it is extremely important to know the 3 types of link building techniques.

Inbound Links Inbound links are one-way links to your website. These are the best type of links, which are important to Google. Inbound links are links which do not link to your website.

There are numerous ways to get inbound links (paid and free). When looking for paid inbound links, make sure that it is worth the money you are spending. (View our Google Search Engine Article)

Paid Inbound Links There are numerous ways to get inbound links to your website and if you know where to look, you can get them at a fairly cheap price. Many webmasters or directories have good Page Rank for certain webpages and may not realize it. You can take advantage of this and buy the links from them while they are still cheap. A few good places to find good Page Rank links are:

eBay - Many webmasters sell good Page Rank links on eBay, but no one bids or buys them because they don’t think of looking there. V7N Forums and DigitalPoint Forums - A lot of webmasters who need quick cash usually offer cheap links for good Page Rank, the highest is usually a PR 8.

In addition, there are many inbound link brokers (sellers) which collect people selling links from their website and sells these links for a bit higher price to people looking for links. However, they usually charge extremely hefty prices for these links and most people do not want them (If you would like, you may search on Google for such brokers, but we do not support them).

Therefore, we suggest getting paid inbound links by contacting the webmaster personally. To find the contact information of a webmaster, you can easily WHOIS his domain name and get it in a second!

Free Inbound Links There are some easy ways to get a few free inbound links. It is pretty hard to do this, but the right method can get you a few good links.

  1. First, join forums that have categories which you know about and add your link in your signature. Do not spam the forums and make useful posts.
  2. If you offer a membership service, you can post on the internet that you are willing to give these services in exchange for a good link to your website. Most people announce this through forums (DigitalPoint also).
  3. If you have another website, you can do a 3-way link exchange (explained later on)
  4. If you have to time to spare, you can accept forum posting services and such in exchange for links to your website.

3-Way Link Exchanging 3-way link exchanging is one of the best ways to get links to your website. The reason we suggest 3-way link exchanges is because 2-way link exchanges are now banned from Google. Due to the new Jagger update, Google recognizes 2-way link building techniques and prevents websites from gaining credit for this.

Here is an easy way to understand 3-way link exchanging:

You are the owners of websites a and c and you would like a link which is pointing to your website c and you are willing to advertise on website a. Another webmaster agrees to link exchange with you and his website is website b. This is what will happen: a links to b b links to c

**You could also create a link from c to a!
