This is the first section of our Link Building Section. The best way to build links to your website is by delivering actual content. Meaning that when you deliver content to visitors, who might agree with your content and link to it. This in return will return links to your website.
This was even proved by Matt Cutts, when he appeared on the WebmasterRadio.fm SEO Rockstars show at:
Now in the beginning of this talk with Matt Cutts, he says that Greg Boser actually have weblogs which deliver consistent new information, which in return gives reasons to recieve links.
Now for example, let’s use our website, Redscowl SEO Blog. We deliver around 2 to 3 posts after we have modernized and changed our website. We recently started a small Pyramid Linking Experiment which most people are already looking and watching the section. We are not doing it just for the links, but also for the fact that it delivers traffic and let’s Google index more of our pages.
We also write actual content and let visitors “Digg” our posts. If others agree with the fact that it is good content, not only will they “Digg” our post, but they might also blog about it with a link back to our website.
Also, if you listen to the show, Greg says that a person asked if he could be placed in the BlogRoll. In other words, this random person is begging for links. Of course Greg doesn’t accept it, saying that they must deliver traffic to his website, then he checks the website and if he likes the content, he will link to them.
Of course, we personally don’t agree with this. We are going to be adding a BlogRoll to the right, which will display the blogs which we read. We won’t care about the traffic they deliver to us.
