Well we have discussed numerous other key points of SEO. Today we will be discussing the various effects of exchanging links.
We are going to have numerous other sections which will be going through overviews of what exactly certain key points are before we start writing numerous articles about in depth SEO Tactics and such.
Now back to the topic, Link Exchanging. Link Exchanging is basically the idea of you displaying a text or image link to someone else’s website (which is viewable in HTML of course!) in exchange for a link back to your website.
Numerous people used to do this to get a better PageRank in Google, before the Jagger Update. We will discuss the Jagger Update later on, but this new update now detects 2-way link exchanges between two websites.
Therefore, webmasters with more than one website do 3-way link exchanging. Here is an example:
Website A links to Website B
Website B links to Website C
As you can see, there are three different websites involved in the exchange, therefore it is called a three-way link exchange.
