I was working on a computer and sitting next to me where a couple of kids entering the serial numbers on the bills on TrackTheBill.com - A way for users to track where their money originated and ended up. The interesting part is that the kids where writing the URL to the website on the dollar bill itself.

U.S. Bills are not considered to legally be your property, however these kids didn’t know any better that they were conducting a federal crime. Now even though the website does not support their users demarking the bills, it would be fairly hard for the government to crack down on people who write on bills and use it as currency.

Furthermore, I would consider this to be viral marketing, in a way. When someone receives a bill with the URL on it, they could be a potential user to the website and they would start marking their bills and dispersing it as currency.

Just thought this website was a unique way to get more visitors (though I don’t see any advertisements on it yet).
