Sexist Online Marketing

Since the dawn of MySpace, many spammers have been experiencing various different qualities and features of the technique and skill required to spam MySpace and increase the number of friends added to your profile. A well accepted fact is that having a picture of a female rather than a male would result in more friends. Some would consider this sexist, but it this could simply be due to all those males who spend hours on MySpace hoping for a girlfriend over the internet.

Well many different experts on the net decide the need to prove their points. Shoemoney has hired a new employee, Nicole, which is now the picture of his community avatar - hoping that it drives to more readers joining his Shoemoney MyBlogLog Community. In fact, he has decided to post up why he thinks he would get more community members due to the oldest trick in the book.

Andy Beal, on the other hand, has decided to offer a free Microsoft Zune Player to any random member who has joined his Marketing Pilgrim MyBlogLog Community before February 16th (and offers an incentive to those who blog about it).

This is an amusing battle on MyBlogLog, since Shoemoney’s community already has 286 members, while Marketing Pilgrim has only 166 members. Guess people aren’t as interested in the new Microsoft Zune as I thought.
