One of the most common complaints I hear is that people don’t have the money to get started in business. And yet it isn’t that hard. So over the next few days I’m going to be showing you ways that you can raise some funds without getting a loan.

The first way is that most wonderful of things: eBay. It’s actually possible, if you know how, to make a living from eBay. But we’re concerned with just raising a little cash to help get your business off the ground. So what can you sell?

Well, most people I know have a huge amount of things they never use, but don’t throw out. DVD’s, CD’s, training courses, all these kinds of things. So go look in your loft or basement, see what you can sell. Generally, you can make between £1,000-2000 just from selling things you don’t want that you’ve got lying around.

But that’s not the only way you can make money from eBay. Look at the case of the person who sold a carrot for several hundred pounds. Also, one pea was bought for over a thousand. People also sell tattoos on parts of their body, domain names, pictures. They will sell anything and everything.

So if you can’t find something to sell, then be inventive. Find a way to sell nothing for something. People do it all the time. If you can be unique and original, it’ll work.
