Right Media is one of the biggest CPM Networks on the net and is well established on the net. Last night, Yahoo! has announced their recent acquisition of Right Media Network.
Here is what Direct Right Media has mentioned about the acquisition:
The team here at Direct Media Exchange is extremely excited about this, as we’ll now have the opportunity to work with Yahoo to continue to build innovative solutions for web publishers and make our offerings even better.
There are some natural questions you may have right now, so hopefully the following Q&A will help answer your concerns:
Will Direct Media Exchange be shut down?
While we can’t predict the future to 100% accuracy, Yahoo is a believer in the Direct Media Exchange concept and has no current plans to shut the product down.
Will Direct Media Exchange integrate the Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN)?
We can not work begin joint work with Yahoo until the SEC fully approves the acquisition. At that point, we’ll begin working with Yahoo to strengthen the Direct Media Exchange, as well as potentially innovate new publisher products.
Can I still work with Google Adsense or other ad networks?
Yes. Yahoo shares our belief that it’s beneficial for publishers to make multiple ad networks compete for every impression to drive up value and make the most from advertising inventory.
Is my data safe?
Yahoo has been participating in the greater Right Media Exchange, that the Direct Media Exchange is a part of, as a neutral member for some time now. Yahoo will continue to be an active party of the Exchange, bringing added value for all participants, but will continue to remain a neutral member. As a publisher you own your data, and there are no current plans to change the Exchange privacy policies.
Will international inventory continue to be accepted on the Exchange?
There are currently no plans to change the inventory standards for the Direct Media Exchange and our participating network partners will continue to maximize inventory from all geographic regions.
Seems like Yahoo! is definitely moving up in the world of marketing. This Q&A was from Direct Right Media, a service offered by Right Media to allow publishers to monetize the advertisements shown on their website using various CPM services as well as your own advertising networks.
