AOL Research Closed
A few hours ago, Elinor Mills and Anne Broache reported that AOL Employees were fired due to the Search Engine Data Logs which were released a few weeks back. The total damage is the fact that two AOL Employees have been fired and the chief technology officer is resigning. The CTO of AOL resigning is Maureen Govern. The AOL Chief Executive, Jon Miller, sent an E-Mail to the users notifying them of the change.
Rumors are starting to spread about a new AOL Service, which claims to offer free local numbers for those who use AIM and is supposed to be released later this month, May.AOL plans to launch this service in the top 50 U.S. Markets. This is similar to a VoIP Service (Voice over Internet Protocol). In addition, the name of the new AOL VoIP Service will be AIM Phoneline. In fact, AOL has already released a paid VoIP Service using your High-Speed Internet Connection, TotalTalk at AOL Mobile. But there is always a catch to free items, especially when they are related to the internet!
