Make Competitors Suffer on Wikipedia

Saturday 3 February 2007 @ 10:52 pm

Well every SEO is outraged with Wikipedia placing nofollow tags on all outbound links, in fear of the great amount of spam they would receive from the GlobalWarming Awareness2007 SEO Contest.

Most people are looking at the negative side of this. However, me being the optimist I am, am happy because I don’t have any Wikipedia pages sending me traffic.

Nevertheless, I know that my competitors use Wikipedia pages to give them some link love. Well if you want to be a cruel SEO, you can place nofollow tags on their URL’s simply by updating the page. This means that existing links do not have a nofollow tag unless they are updated!

GlobalWarming Awareness 2007 SEO Contest

Saturday 20 January 2007 @ 9:16 pm

It seems that the excitement caused by SEO Contests has not yet fully died out. A new website has risen and they plan on holding an SEO Contest on a yearly basis - SEO World Championship. I have already mentioned their website before, but the keywords for the 2007 SEO Contest has been announced earlier this week.

The keywords are - “globalwarming awareness2007”. These keywords were chosen to help others understand & be educated about the global warming issues.

I won’t be participating in any more SEO Contests, but a friend of mine is, so take a look at his globalwarming awareness2007 site.
