I really don’t agree with the new post that Matt Cutts published which is basically looking for webmasters to snitch on each other, even though there are probably a ton of people looking to hurt their competitors.
Similar to what this post says, I think this would be a huge problem for people selling/buying links in DigitalPoint’s bustling marketplace.
It seems that Google is going to start testing out ‘expiremental’ penalties for websites selling paid links that have been reported here. I personally don’t think Google should start putting webmasters up against each other, but I guess the snitches looking to hurt their competition will love this new addition.

I’ve been away for a while, but I just got my new Windows Vista laptop and I’m back to blogging on a regular basis! So when I got back, I quickly glanced through my feeds and I was bought to Quadzilla’s Second Linkbait Poker Tournament! I classified it as linkbait because SEO’s participating in this tournament are anticipating a ton of links to their blog, right?

There have been many different threads started on various forums over the topic of which is more important - content or links? Of course it would play into which perspective you’re looking the question at.
If you simply want a good ranking in Search Engines and get a good amount of traffic, you would choose links. If you want quality readers who like you for your content, you would choose to create good content. Personally, I choose both of these aspects to be important to the development of a website and treat them with equal attention. Nevertheless, I believe that building links is much easier than writing quality content.

I know this may be a bit late, but DMOZ/ODP editing has been opened up for those who want to submit their links to the directory. They were down for well over 2 months due to server problems in the AOL Datacenter and didn’t allow new submissions at all.
Well over the months, they were able to put together missing data and recompile their directory. Last week, they opened up submissions after the tragic event. But the kicker is that they lost all links which were submitted to them during the downtime. Their queue’s were empty for a while. Even though it’s only been a few days, head on over to DMOZ and submit your link. You might get lucky and be accepted!
This is a Sponsored Post, but I am a customer of TextLinkAds and have used their service before.
It’s been a while since we’ve talked about the SEO Favorite Marketplace - TextLinkAds. I personally like using TextLinkAds because of the fact that many of my websites acquire PageRank pretty quickly and since it doesn’t receive a ton of traffic, I need to find some way to generate some revenue. That’s where TextLinkAds comes in!

DMOZ was one of the biggest directories out there. They were promoted heavily and they built up their name so well that webmasters considered it a true honor to be accepted in the DMOZ directory (as well as the SEO Benefits). But it was baffling when the owner of DMOZ decided to put up a post which acknowledged the views other people had about DMOZ (V7N & SEO Speedwagon).

DMOZ Back Online with New Years Amends?
Now I want all of you to think about this question. Imagine that you are a normal webmaster who owns a blog or a network of websites which run pretty decently. Now you are a decent webmaster who isn’t making a ton of money, but all of a sudden someone sends you a PM on the WebmasterRadio Chatroom asking if you want to do a simple E-Mail interview.
Now obviously you’re most likely going to accept the offer and answer the questions given in the blog interview. After you send the answers the blog owner puts up the interview and gives the links to your website. Now answer this question:
On your blog, will you give a link back to the blog post with the interview or not?

Now a lot of you have heard of the Million Dollar Homepage, which was a huge success after the enormous media push that Alex Tew did for the Million Dollar Homepage. Well we found a press release on PRWeb which is almost after the same idea, but a little different. The website is the Link Experiment and it has raised nearly $2,500 in links so far. The LinkExperiment Million Dollar Idea
Just recently I started sellings advertisements through TextLinkAds on the sidebar for around $20/month here. Haven’t received any customers through it, but I noticed that they are offering $100 in free ads when you order $125+ and thought this was a great deal, so I ordered a ton of 30-day listings for Sixty6 Arcade (sending a ton of traffic as well!).
There is a new Co-Op Ad Network player in town! Currently the top two Co-Op Advertising sites are DigitalPoint Co-Op and Link-Vault. However, Receive Links (which has just been launched) is similar to Link Vault in many places.
Well AdBrite will definitely have competition from TextLinkAds in the near future. We have just registered with it (replacing our sponsors links) and it looks like an amazing service so far!
Well Aaron Wall is well known through the SEO industry for his SEO Book. However, he is a pretty good blogger and delivers tons of good content daily when he blogs! One of his recent posts caught my eye and turned out to be an amazing resource.
