Technorati Favorite Feature

Almost everyone uses Technorati nowadays to find what bloggers are talking about. However, they have a nifty ranking feature which ranks blogs depending on the number of links from other blogs as well the amount of different blogs which link to you.

However, I noticed that a ton of blogs have recently incorporated Technorati’s “Favorite This Blog” feature. A few examples are:

Search Engine Journal (Loren Baker used to)

Well that’s all I can think of at the moment off the top of my head, but there are definitely other blogs which also have put the following tab on their blogs:

Now the reason why, is probably because more and more people are looking at the Technorati Top 100 list. Technorati has their own unique little ranking system to rank blogs according to, how many blogs link to you. They also give more value to blogs with a higher ranking I believe, since they have a feature called “Sort Links by Authority” when you view the links to a blog.

However, I remember hearing that they might (or maybe already have) implement the number of people who favorite your blog on Technorati into their ranking system.

I mean you have nothing to lose and you will gain some more members, so you might as well put up that little tab given above on your blog and make it link to:

Obviously replace my blog URL with your blog URL.
