PayPerPost Requires Disclosure Policy

I knew it was only a matter of time before PayPerPost asked for a Disclosure Policy to be present on all blogs in their marketplace.

I received an E-Mail nearly 6 days ago from PayPerPost which said:

ORLANDO, FL – PayPerPost, the leading marketplace connecting marketers with bloggers, videographers, photographers, podcasters and social networks, announced the second phase of its full disclosure model, whereby participating Consumer Content Creators are required to disclose their sponsored status. The new Terms of Service, effective today, will bring greater transparency to the growing Consumer Generated Advertising industry.

They have also made a release in their press center. I personally think that it’s a waste of time and they just want people using their new service at Disclosure Policy.org

But if you look at it from PayPerPost’s standpoint, they are doing something that ReviewME is also doing. ReviewME asks that you include in their posts that it is a sponsored post. PayPerPost doesn’t ask this (unless it is specified in the post offer). However, it would be unfair unless you’re readers knew what they were reading, so creating a disclosure policy would let them know this, if they really cared.

Well I have setup a new disclosure policy on Modern SEO News.
