A lot of blogs have started using MyBlogLog and placing their community widget on their blogs (I’ve placed mine on the center sidebar). A community like MyBlogLog should have a verification method like Technorati does, to make sure that authors of blogs are who they say they are. Due to a lack of verification, a couple of problems have risen.
According to Loren Baker, one of his authors, Carsten Cumbrowski, registered Search Engine Journal as one of the blogs that he authors.
MyBlogLog has a feature which lets you serve the original photographs of people who comment on your blog and it seems that Marketing Pilgrim is using this feature and one of the posts where Loren Baker commented on is serving an image of Carsten.
At the moment Loren cannot register his blog since he gets the common error:
This blog/site already exists, the author is CarstenC
He has sent an E-Mail to the MyBlogLog team and hopefully it’ll get sorted out soon!
